Plus: Entry and general handling easy, Velcro strips with good coverage; very good protection through torsionally rigid construction, firmly embedded heel; comfortable even on long walks; good fit with wide toe box, sensitive when braking, great grip on notches; Wet test passed.
Minus: Shin guard does not cover deep enough; A little too much play in the metatarsal area.
Conclusion: Despite the somewhat loveless imitation leather appearance, the expensive one offers Alpinestars S-MX 6 Gore-Tex a great value: super safe, snug fit, but very comfortable and waterproof. Top!
