Touring tires on the country road

The touring tires were rated according to their suitability for sporty country road driving in the following sub-categories:

  • Handiness: a maximum of 30 points
  • Steering precision: maximum 30 points
  • Cornering stability: a maximum of 20 points
  • Cornering stability sport: a maximum of 20 points
  • Leaning on an incline: maximum 10 points
  • Adhesion when accelerating: maximum 10 points
  • Straight-line stability: maximum 10 points
  • Borderline behavior: a maximum of 10 points
  • Setup moment: maximum 10 points

Gives a maximum of 150 points for sporty country road driving.

Touring tires in the wet test

The test team also examined the behavior of the touring tires in wet conditions, measured braking distances from 100 km / h, cornering speeds and lap times on the test course. The points for this are distributed as follows:

  • Handiness: a maximum of 10 points
  • Steering precision: a maximum of 20 points
  • Adhesion curves: maximum 20 points
  • Acceleration: maximum 20 points
  • Limit area: a maximum of 20 points
  • Braking deceleration: a maximum of 10 points

Gives a total of a maximum of 100 points for behavior in wet conditions and a maximum of 250 points in total.

The test winner scored 231, the last placed 214 of 250 points.
