Fancy trousers can actually also be practical? Pando Moto wants to convince us with the black mottled chino jeans Mark Kev 01 not only with a casual custom look, but also in everyday life.

When unboxing, the stylish packaging in the cloth bag is immediately noticeable, but on closer inspection it is quickly confirmed: Here you don’t want to be dazzled, the chinos are top-quality and designed down to the last detail. Even when driving, the positive impressions predominate. The material is pleasantly stretchy and comfortable, the fit is more casual. Contrary to the slim fit expectation, the legs are quite wide and loose. The trousers can be adjusted at the ankles with press studs to create a clean finish on the boot.

The large pockets on the thighs, the same on the back and two additional pockets for the casual hand-in-pocket stand also made a positive impression. A large ventilation slot per leg – which can be easily opened while driving – significantly improves the test performance of the jeans, especially since only a few manufacturers offer this comfort gift.

Unsuitable for athletes

The upper material of the Mark Kev 01 consists of robust Cordura, climate-regulating Coolmax and cotton, with Kevlar sewn on the inside. It comes with hip and knee protectors. The only drawback was when sitting on motorcycles with an acute knee angle: the pants are a bit low in the crotch. So if you pull them up to sit sportily, the bare legs flash out and the protectors slide up as well. Clearly more of a model for cruisers, scramblers and other relaxed benches. The Pando Moto Mark Kev 01 is available in sizes from W28 to W36. The price: 259 euros.
