In the 2020 season, Triumph is celebrating stunt legend Bud Ekins with two special editions of the Bonneville T120 and T100. These were presented at the EICMA in Milan.

B.ud who? Bud Ekins was a professional Hollywood stuntman and top-notch motocross and desert racer. He became immortal as his friend Steve McQueen’s stunt double with the legendary motorcycle jump in the Hollywood classic “Broken Chains”. He was also a top Triumph dealer in the US. The special models now presented at EICMA are characterized by a California-inspired color scheme and a series of special Bud Ekins details.

Californian two-tone look

Both bikes come in a special two-tone paintwork with hand-painted decorative lines and the traditional Triumph logo, which is used for the first time on a modern Triumph production motorcycle. There is also an exclusive Bud Ekins “Flying Globe” tank logo and a second Bud Ekins logo on the front fender. Of course, the side covers are also provided with an Ekins badge.

But other parts from the accessories program also find their way to the special models. The tank has a Monza lid, the indicators are LED technology. There are also gray fluted handlebar grips and handlebar end mirrors.

All Bud Ekins special models come with a certificate of authenticity, a short biography of Bud Ekins and a signed letter from Triumph boss Nick Bloor. Technically, the models T100 and T120 remain unchanged. They will be available at dealerships from March 2020. The T100 costs from 10,750 euros, the T120 is available from 12,750 euros. The price advantages are said to be 500 and 400 euros respectively.
