Triumph in the 2020 model year
Reduced prices from July 1st, 2020

Triumph is entering 2020 with some brand new models. And from July 1st, thanks to the lower VAT, there will be lower prices and additional offers from Triumph.

Jens Moller-Tollner

07/01/2020

Update: Price reduction from July 1, 2020

From July 1, 2020: From July 1, Triumph will not only pass on the current reduction in VAT in Germany to its customers, but also put together a package of additional offers for almost all models. The offers are model-specific and model-specific and in many cases include original accessories – from the quickshifter to the case set. When buying a new Speed Triple, Triumph even reduces the price by the entire VAT portion.

Rocket 3 is making a comeback in 2020

With the Rocket 3, the motorcycle with the largest engine in series production is celebrating its comeback in the Triumph program this year. The cruiser with the 2.5-liter three-cylinder comes in two versions, the Rocket R and GT. But Triumph is also active below the very large displacement. The Daytona – now with a tightened 765 cubic engine – is also part of the English portfolio again. In this, the Street Triple is practically a constant. Nevertheless, Triumph has also worked on the hottest Streety, the RS, fine-tuning the look and technology. As always, the RS remains the hottest iron in the series, which even includes an A2 model. In addition, Triumph complements the model range with exclusive bikes from the Triumph Factory Custom series. These are strictly limited and, like the Thruxton, have particularly high-quality equipment.

Triumph Daytona Moto2 765

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Daytona Moto2 765.

In Moto2, Triumph, as the engine supplier, equips all teams with 765 three-cylinder engines. So it was only a logical step that the British would also include the Daytona in the program again – as the Daytona Moto2 765. A racing driver has not been part of the Triumph program in recent years. However, the new Daytona will not change that much in the long term, even if it had what it takes as a direct offshoot of the Moto2 racer. The problem is: Triumph has limited the edition of the new Daytona 765. There are only 765 pieces for all of Europe. Just as many will be shipped back to the rest of the world. That’s it. If you still want to keep dreaming: The new Euro 4 engine based on the well-known 765 engine lifts modified camshafts, an increased compression ratio, titanium inlet valves, DLC-coated piston pins and the titanium system from the Arrows to 130 approved PS. There are also the finest suspension goods from Ohlins, and the stop is made with the latest equipment from Brembo. The best heating products – only very rarely.

Triumph Street Triple S (A2 version)

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Street Triple S (A2 version).

The S A2 version of the Streety is a special case in the naked bike family. Visually, their affiliation can be clearly recognized, but the technology reveals subtle differences. She works with a 660 cm³ treble, which is delivered from the factory with the required 48 hp. And this special motor pulls through well in spite of its low output, and even sets top marks among the 48 hp bikes. In addition, there is a chassis and brakes that are fun for everyone. Top entry-level product.

Triumph Street Triple R.

triumph.

Triumph Street Triple R..

TFT display, fully adjustable chassis, driving modes and slipper clutch: the Street Triple R has everything fans of the crisp country road circuit could want for a sporty, fast-paced appearance. Although the equipment is not quite at the top level of its sister RS, there is no reason to complain. At most, the somewhat unwieldy, stubborn initial tires are a bit annoying. But it is quickly swapped, which means that the Street Triple R’s dynamic driving talents can be further sharpened.

Triumph Street Triple RS

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Street Triple RS.

The new Euro 5 emissions standard will apply from 2020. Gradually, all manufacturers will have to adapt their bikes accordingly. With the Street Triple RS, Triumph put their heads straight and redesigned the bike in numerous places. You don’t have to worry about the power, as before the triplet pushes 123 hp. The maximum torque should even have increased by 2 Nm, now 79 Nm and already present at 9,350 rpm. The MOTORRAD test bench has to prove these values first. This does not apply to the rest of the changes. The exhaust system now has two catalytic converters, gears one and two are shorter, the headlight now shines as a complete LED light, a blipper is standard, and the driver assistance systems and throttle valves have been re-tuned. Optical retouching further rounds off the new look. So the bottom line is more of a fine-tuning. The Street Triple RS didn’t need a model revolution, after all, it was already a great naked bike for the street and the race track.

Triumph Tiger 800 XR / XRX / XRX Low / XRT

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Tiger 800 XRT.

Everything in travel enduro format is called Tiger at Triumph. It starts with the 800 models, whereby the XR variants with cast rims are dedicated to use on the road. The equipment differs between the individual types, the XRT comes with LED light, heated seats and a main stand, so the most lavish. When it comes to the heart, everyone agrees again, use the 800 triplet, which was only honed in 2019. Nevertheless: Your time seems to have run out – new Tiger 800s may come soon.

Triumph Tiger 800 XCX / XCA

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Tiger 800 XCX.

Like the XR sisters, the XC-800 Tiger comes in a travel enduro look, but rolls on typical off-road rim sizes with wire-spoke wheels. However, their strengths remain comfort and engine. Relaxing meters on asphalt – she is excellent at that. If the terrain becomes coarser and unpaved, she loses her composure relatively quickly, which is also due to the high weight. But even here the sparrows are already whistling from the roofs: A replacement of the XC models is probably already in the starting blocks.

Triumph Street Twin

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Street Twin.

Last year at Triumph they went deep into themselves again: Sure, the Street Twin is a great entry-level roadster in a delicate retro look, with only 55 hp from 900 cubic meters, but not an arm-puller despite the torque-oriented set-up. Therefore, in 2019 there was a power surcharge of ten horsepower. The water-cooled two-cylinder is currently mobilizing 65 hp, with the cooler trying to hide between the front frame tubes. That doesn’t quite work, but you can see that Triumph has made every effort to maintain a classic motorcycle appearance with the Street Twin. The engine can even carry cooling fins. In addition to its looks, the Street Twin proves to be a great driving pleasure machine, with which even beginners or short contemporaries can get along well because of the low seat height. Thanks to the low consumption (according to the manufacturer), 16,000 inspection intervals and a two-year factory guarantee plus a two-year follow-up guarantee, the running costs and risks remain at a low level.

Triumph Street Scrambler

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Street Scarmbler.

The Triumph Street Scrambler is the perfect choice for fans of classic enduro looks with a rather relaxed nature. With its high-torque motor, the scrambler would rather pulse through the area up to 5,000 rpm than be squeezed out at maximum speed. It is very gentlemanly, does not change load, pushes forward with a full blow, drives harmoniously and without pitfalls. Only at a rapid pace does it require more attention and must be guided by the driver with a clear impulse.

Triumph Bonneville T100 / Black

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Bonneville T100.

One-piece bench, tank cushions, spoked wheels: the Bonneville T100 makes a visual impact “yesterday”, but is a current bike from Triumph. The 900 twin is also used as the engine, but only with 55 hp. For future Bonneville owners, that means: strength lies in calm, because the classic Triumph is not exactly light at 232 kg. The Black version is the right choice for all blacksighters, there are also various special models of the T100, such as the Bud Ekins in red / white.

Triumph Tiger Sport

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Tiger Sport.

Tiger Sport has become something of an evergreen in the Triumph program. Here, enduro-like appearance meets a road chassis with 17-inch tires – the new German means crossover. With its bearish engine full of torque, the Tiger Sport inspires everyone from touring riders to lean-to cracks. The only thing that stands in the way of her now is her weight, because you can always feel it while driving, and the competitors are lighter and more dynamic. Still: a great touring vehicle for long distance riders.

Triumph Tiger 900 / Rally / GT

Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro.

Triumph has redeveloped the Tiger 900 for the 2020 model year. The mid-range enduro will roll out to dealers in various model variants from February 2020. Among other things, the engine, the chassis and the peripherals have been further developed. Prices for the new Tiger 900 start at 11,350 euros. The price increases depending on the model variant.

Triumph Speed Triple S / RS

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Speed Triple RS.

With the current Speed Triple generation, Triumph is taking big steps towards coming of age, after all, the original type of all street fighters poached through the British program for the first time in 1993. Over the years, the English have refined the Street Triple even further, trained it to perform better – 150 horses are one word – and also kept the technology up to date. A TFT display, various driving modes, cruise control, traction control and fully adjustable spring elements are all part of the good sound. Equipped in this way, the potent naked bike wipes swiftly and easily controllable over country roads of all kinds, and with the 1050 cubic treble it pushes ahead with a strong punch even in the medium speed range. This of course also applies to the Speed Triple RS, which sets plus points with its high-quality equipment. This includes a curve-optimized ABS with traction control, silencers from Arrow and fork and shock absorber from Ohlins. However, the price increases with the extras.

Triumph Speed Twin

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Speed Twin.

The Speed Twin, another bike in the Triumph program based on the large 1200 twin-cylinder, aims to find a gap between the Thruxton and the Bonneville T120. But is there any space left at all? A good question, after all, the British are not exactly stingy with bikes with a classic look. And yet the Speed Twin has its place, fits in really well between the other motorcycles. Why is that? Well, on the one hand, it wants to be more of a roadster than a retro mobile. She ignores pretended Amal carburettors or the like, on old-fashioned decorative elements. It rather emphasizes classic shapes without optical gimmicks, reflects on what makes a good motorcycle. And that’s exactly how it drives. Just a bit more casual than a Thruxton with its clip-on handlebars, but also significantly faster than the heavy T120. Only with the chassis, the Speed Twin should like a higher quality equipment, fork and damper offer few reserves. The Speed Twin still offers plenty of driving fun.

Triumph Bonneville T120 / Black

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Bonneville T120 Black.

Bonneville, another name that has found a permanent home in the Triumph program. That is hardly surprising, because the British put the first model with this name on the wheels as early as 1959. One likes to strive to quote the past in the here and now with a motorcycle model like the Bonneville T120. So that”Bonnie” By no means looks modern, it stands on chic wire rims, the injection looks like a carburetor, the 1200 engine is adorned with cooling fins – despite the water cooling -, bellows enclose the fork and the manifold meanders as logically and straight as possible in the direction of the slim end pots. So the Bonneville T120 has a lot to offer to the eye, just like its sister, baptized Black, which simply does without anything colorful. Other special models round off the T120 portfolio. There’s really a good mood when driving with all Bonnies, when the fat two-cylinder with the 270-degree crankshaft pushes man and machine with a lot of torque.

Triumph Bonneville Bobber / Black / TFC

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Bonneville Bobber.

The Bonneville Bobber is now competing for buyers in three versions. Type one is more like a chopper and has a 19-inch front wheel. Type two has the suffix Black and rolls around on a wide 130 cm front wheel measuring 16 inches. In addition, two brake discs in the front wheel ensure a decent deceleration. And type three does it very exclusively, after all, the Triumph Factory Custom label stands for strictly limited mechanical engineering and high-quality components. With these, the Bonneville Bobber TFC can shine on all corners and edges. The TFC is back on the 19-inch wheel at the front and is limited to 750 pieces. In addition, its 87 hp engine has more power than the other two versions. But no matter which variant you choose, the bobbers are all something like the two-wheeled ones “King of Cool”. They not only look casual, they also ride like that, are not averse to the dynamics (ABS and TC are on board), at least in comparison with other bikes of the same nature.

Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC / XE

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC.

Retro is somehow still hip. The problem with this is that disadvantages are often bought at the cost of appearance, and appearance promises more than function can deliver. This happens quite often, especially among the so-called scramblers. The hops, which look like old enduros, go off-road, but actually prefer to be driven on asphalt. Triumph demonstrates that there is another way with the Scrambler 1200. Narrow tires, 21-inch at the front, plus full suspension travel of at least 200 millimeters for decent ground clearance, and not showing too much weight: retro and off-road – that’s possible. As is often the case in its own range, Triumph has two versions with the 1200 twin-cylinder to choose from. The Scrambler 1200 XC is there “only” 200 millimeters of suspension travel is the moderate off-road vehicle, while model variant XE with 25 centimeters of suspension travel, Ohlins shock absorber and cornering ABS has been trimmed even more towards offroad and also scores points in terms of equipment.

Triumph Thruxton / R

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Thruxton.

If you’re wondering what a modular system is – just take a look at the Triumph Thruxton. The beauty, which is equipped with clip-on handlebars, is driven as a further model by the British 1200 series twin cylinder with a 270 degree crank pin offset of the crankshaft. In the Thruxton, the engine mobilizes most of the power. There is 97 PS delivered free of charge by turning the throttle by 90 degrees. The new RS adds a few extra ponies.

Triumph Thruxton RS

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Thruxton RS.

With the RS, Triumph presents the sportiest Thruxton model as a novelty for the 2020 season. More power, more torque, more Nm and less weight. With these ingredients, the RS easily overshadows the previous sporty Thruxton figurehead, the Thruxton R. The retro racer is stopped with M50 monobloc pliers from Brembo until the very sporty Metzeler Racetec RR screeches as the first tire. The bottom line is that there has never been more sport in a retro look at Triumph.

Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster.

Please don’t let the name fool you: Bonneville Speedmaster promises more dynamics than the bike can hold. Seriously: The pegs are not further forward on any other Triumph model, and nowhere else does the handlebar stretch so far towards you. All in all, that sounds a lot like cruiser – and that’s exactly what the Speedmaster wants to be. It is a bike for the moderate pace. Individualists can refine the Speedmaster according to their own taste with numerous parts from Triumph.

Triumph Tiger 1200 XCX / XCA

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Tiger 1200 XCA.

Equipped with spoked wheels, Triumph’s largest cat of prey, the Tiger 1200, in the XCX and XCA variants, is ostensibly attracting votes from Enduro fans. At the latest when you look at the weight, it becomes clear that professionals for off-road traffic are required here. Those who find happiness on this side of the unpaved will receive top equipped travel enduros with the XC-Tigers, which combine comfort and the most modern equipment. The XCA can do this a little better with even more features at a higher price.

Triumph Tiger 1200 XR / XRX / XRX Low / XRT

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Tiger 1200 XR.

With the Tiger 1200, Triumph is building something of an exception in the range of current major travel enduros. Almost without exception, they are powered by two-cylinder engines, the three-in-a-row is a specialty. And the triple knows how to shine, pairing the best engine running even at the lowest speeds with a fine response and very decent manners. However, the triplet also lacks a bit of oomph for a 1215 cubic engine. The Tiger 1200 is just as easy to handle as the engine, swings nimbly through arches despite its heavy weight, its brakes bite sharply. Further highlights of the Tiger 1200: its generous standard equipment and the great travel comfort. All models from the XR to the XRT have this (the XRX LRH is a variant with a lower seat height). If you don’t want to do without features such as heated grips, cornering lights and much more, you can use the XRT, including a few fewer features depending on the model.

Triumph Rocket 3 GT

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Rocket 3 GT.

The English are commonly ascribed to understatement. A prejudice, and what a prejudice, because after all, with the new edition of the Rocket 3, Triumph shows that pure size counts again from now on. Three cylinders, almost 2.5 liters of displacement, plus almost 300 kilograms – which is 40 less than before – combined with wide-format tires. And the performance values also deserve respect. While current 1000cc naked bikes also deliver 167 hp and more, 221 Nm are an announcement, especially because they are already available at 4,000 rpm. This bike will have no difficulty in catapulting man and machine forward as befits their standing. And in the GT version of the Rocket it is actually quite comfortable. Adjustable footrests, a sissy bar for the pillion passenger, a handlebar inclined towards the driver: the GT should be able to tour as well as running. In order for this to work, their triumph in technology has given everything that is currently available – from TFT display to cornering ABS, traction control, various driving modes and hill start assist.

Triumph Rocket 3 R

Triumph in the 2020 model year: Reduced prices from July 1st

triumph.

Triumph Rocket 3 R.

Everything that has been written about the Rocket 3 GT also applies to its sister model R. It only emphasizes less the touring aspect, is more of a pure driving machine. Your handlebar is further forward, the adjustable notches a little further back. In addition, the R-Pilot sits a good two centimeters higher. Otherwise there are no differences in the equipment and the electronics package, the R has the same driving aids as the GT. And with the engine, both show where the torque hammer hangs anyway.
