In the USA, the American road safety authority NHTSA has a recall for the Vespa models GTV 300, GTS 300 and Vespa GTS 300 HPE from model years 2019 and 2020 initiated. The brake line fittings on the vehicles affected by the recall cannot be properly surface-finished. As a result, moisture can get into the brake fluid and thus reduce braking performance.

As part of the workshop visit, the brake lines are checked and, if necessary, replaced. In addition, the brake fluid is checked and replaced. This recall affects a total of 1,328 vehicles in the US market. The MOTORRAD inquiry to Piaggio Germany whether vehicles in Germany / Europe are also to be recalled is already running.
