New radial tires for sports tourers
Vredestein, the Dutch subsidiary of the Indian tire manufacturer Apollo, is entering the European market for sport touring radial tires. The Centauro family marks the beginning.

The Centauro tires from Vredestein are aimed at sports tourers and long-distance drivers and should be designed for mileage, wet grip, stability and comfort. Italian professionals contribute the profile design.
The Vredestein Centauro ST will be available in the first quarter of 2020 in size 120/70 ZR 17 for front wheels and 180/55 ZR 17 for rear wheels. The latter comes as standard in a single-layer version, for heavy machines there is also a variant with a reinforced carcass.
The Vredestein Centauro Road is aimed at riders of sporty entry-level bikes and comes in sizes 110/70 ZR 17 and 150/60 ZR 17. The Centauro Road will also be available from the first quarter of 2020.
Scooter tires and TPMS system
In addition to the two motorcycle tires, Vredestein also offers a tire for scooters under the name Staccata. The radial tire is available in 14 sizes from ten to 16 inches in diameter.
For Centauro motorcycle tires, Vredestein optionally offers a tire pressure monitoring system that consists of two waterproof external sensors and is intended to enable continuous monitoring of tire pressure and temperature. This information is transmitted via Bluetooth to a special mobile app available for Android and iOS devices.
Vredestein has not yet announced prices and approvals for its tires.
