The Vanucci WP04 accompanied us over 5,000 kilometers in the long-term test. How did the waterproof backpack fare in everyday life?

Depending on which type of backpack you are, you will with the Vanucci WP04 be very satisfied – or you just can’t get along with it. Organizer fetishists who always want their belongings properly sorted out fall into the second category. Because the backpack offers pretty much nothing for them.

Stable seat even at high speeds

Except for a separate outer pocket with a rubberized zipper, there is only one huge main compartment, which is easily accessible via the transverse roll closure. If you don’t care that your belongings are always safely and dryly stowed away, you should really take the item to your chest or strap it on your back.

In our seasonal extreme test, the stable and firmly welded TPU fabric showed no signs of failure. The carrying system with chest strap and removable hip belt ensures a stable fit even at high speeds, thanks to the compression straps and valves, the WP04 can be trimmed perfectly into shape. Alternatively, it can also be converted into a tail bag.

Conclusion

If you do not attach great importance to a compartmentalization in the interior of a backpack, you can fall back on the Vanucci WP04 without great risks.
