In the Weinsberg Carabus 630 MEG Outlaw, the bed is located in the rear area of ​​the vehicle, as is typical for camper vans. However, it is attached so high that there is space for a huge rear garage underneath. It can accommodate up to two motorcycles or even a quad. And of course there is also a place for bicycles. Lashing rails are attached to the floor of the cargo area to ensure that the vehicles are securely lashed.

Side walls coated with CPL and the floor lined with checkered plate ensure the necessary robustness of the storage space. The garage is particularly well sealed so that unwanted gasoline smell stays in the garage and does not get into the bedroom and living room.

Generous lying area accessible via ladder

The garage takes up a lot of space in the rear area. Since the lengthways bed is raised, this means less headroom in the sleeping area. 56 centimeters remain between the mattress and the headliner. A skylight and a window on the side provide light in the bed area so that the room does not appear too narrow. At 1.97 x 1.70 meters, the sleeping area in the bunk is generous. Three people can easily sleep on the lengthways bed. By the way: A ladder that is hung between the refrigerator and bathroom leads to the raised bed.

On the driver’s side, the sleeping area is adjacent to the bathroom, including a cassette toilet and shower facility. If you enjoy an extensive shower after a long motorcycle trip, the entire bathroom or even the vehicle should not stand in the shower steam. That is why there is a side window in the Weinsberg Outlaw for an extra charge (246 euros). The square, compact washbasin that is integrated into the washbasin is also particularly practical in the bathroom.

Opposite the bathroom is the kitchen. It is equipped with a two-burner stove with electric ignition and a 75-liter compressor refrigerator. The wall units are white, all other furniture fronts and walls, such as the kitchen block, the walls to the sanitary room and in front of the bed, have a wood look. A well-sealed door between the refrigerator and bathroom leads into the garage.

Lots of storage space and diesel heating as standard

The classic seating area with dining table consists of the two swiveling cab seats and a two-seater bench. Since the Weinsberg Outlaw is a Fiat Ducato with a super high roof, the bus offers storage cupboards with a particularly large amount of storage space above the seating area. Diesel heating will also come into series production.

520 kilograms payload, 2.82 meters high

The basic version of the 2.82 meter high camper has a 120 hp engine. The van is a 3.5-ton truck as standard, but it can be increased to up to 4.0 tons. Weinsberg promises a payload of 520 kilos, a maximum of 1,020 kilos are possible. The Outlaw version with a huge garage is available for both the Carabus and Caratour models of the Weinsberg 630 MEG.

Those who prefer to travel with their household, garage and bikes – or who regularly reside at the racetrack – can make a dream come true for around 45,000 euros with the Weinsberg Outlaw. The concept in the cargo area with lashing rails and extra door seals seems well thought out and thanks to the extra high roof there is also plenty of storage space in the living area.
