Highway Number One: With the Harley by the USA
- In California, some travel providers have Motorcycle travel specialized. They offer completely organized group travel or individual tours.
- One of the largest providers is Eaglerider (WWW.Eaglerider.COM). The tours on the west coast start at this provider mostly in San Francisco and last between eight and 16 days. In addition to Eagleriders, many smaller companies compete for the business with the bike tours in the USA. A price comparison is worthwhile in any case.
- If you want to get started on your own, you can only rent a Harley with most of these providers. Eaglerider also has some used bikes for sale. After the journey on the freshly born motorcycle, the company takes over the transfer to Germany. Who cares with the purchase of a machine, for which this can be a worthwhile business.
- Used Harleys on average, 15 to 30 percent are more favorable in the US than in Germany. But on the purchase price, freight costs, customs and taxes come again. The fist formula for the costs: purchase price in dollars is equal price in euros including all costs.
