Yamaha emphasizes that the drive modules can be used in cars, but also in other vehicles. Electric motors are offered in a power range from 35 to 200 kW.

The drive modules can be adapted to customer requirements. The complete modules include the electric motor (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor – IPMSM), the control electronics and reduction gear units. The drive units can be combined with water cooling or oil cooling.

In a product video, the drive module is shown installed in an Alfa Romeo 4C. So far, the Japanese have been represented in the bicycle sector with electric drives and in the marine sector with electric outboards. With the motorcycles there were various electric studies as well as a competition trial machine with electric drive.
