The cult scooter celebrates his birthday
Yamaha has had the TMax large scooter at the start for 20 years. Now the Japanese are celebrating the anniversary with a special model.

First as Yamaha in 2001 TMax brought it to market, it has already revolutionized the scooter world a little. For the first time, a manufacturer combined the performance of a motorcycle with the comfort of a large scooter. A combination that competitors later took up. The TMax itself became a cult scooter and this cult is now 20 years old.
Extremely limited
The anniversary is now being celebrated with a special model of the TMax with exclusive equipment features and a unique new color. According to the current cubic capacity of 560 cm³, the Yamaha TMax 20th Anniversary only 560 numbered copies issued worldwide.
The main feature of this new model are the Forged Carbon trim parts, which, due to the unique structure, show a very individual surface structure on each scooter. The front wheel fender, side panels on the center tunnel and the heat protection on the exhaust are manufactured accordingly. Yellow details on the side panels and the front wheel cover are reminiscent of the bright yellow color scheme of the original model.

Additional features include a heated bench seat with yellow stitching, heated grips, a 20th Anniversary logo, a numbered badge and a special paint finish in Tech Graphite paired with bronze-colored rims.

On the technology side, there are no changes compared to the production model. It stays with the 560 cm³ two-cylinder with 48 HP and 56 Nm.
The new Yamaha TMax 20th Anniversary is only available through an online ordering system that will go live on March 31, 2021. Yamaha has not yet given any prices, but we expect an amount of around 14,000 euros.
