Zontes is probably expanding its range in a new model with the 310 single-cylinder. It should be a mixture of the 310 T2 and the G1.

Zontes calls the model itself Sportscafe. It is unclear whether it will be a cafe racer or a scrambler. Probably both.

The lively game of dice in the Zontes parts warehouse continues. A Cafe Scrambler from the well-known 310 T2 and G1 models seems to have been remixed. And apparently powered by a new 350cc engine.

Zontes has done well in Germany with the 310 stew, which is potent on paper. It drives a total of six models in this country with its 35 hp and 30 Nm. Among the naked bikes, cruisers, tourers and adventure bikes offered by Zontes, only one cafe racer is missing. Zontes already has this in its range with the 125 engine as the G1, but the great look can also be combined with more punch. This seems to be imminent with the GK Sportscafe study shown in China: a hybrid of cafe racer and scrambler.

Parts in the blender

The GK uses optically liberal in the Zontes parts shelf. The bodywork is based on the rear of the G1 with its pleasing shape and flat plateau. The banana swing arm in KTM strut optics also appears to be taken from the G1. The half-height exhaust system has already become famous on the 310 models T1, T2 and R. The sturdy USD fork, which also has new radially mounted brake calipers, looks new. Here, the Brembo offshoot Bybre can be assumed as the supplier. Their floating saddles have so far delayed the Zontes models. The front with the characteristically high handlebar, on the other hand, looks very G1-like again. Completely new: The tank-seat combination with the seat that has been pulled up, reminiscent of old Enduro singles. The cross-spoke rims already roll in the form shown in the GS-like 310 T2 and are covered with 110/80 R 19 and 160/60 R 17 tires. Zontes models usually brake with an ABS from Bosch.

310 or 350 cubic engine?

The 310 single is already known, rumors are growing in China Zontes would have developed the engine further and given it a little more displacement. It is spoken of 350 cubic meters, an output of 44 hp and significantly less vibrations. This is achieved through a new engine housing, new crankshaft, pistons and cylinders, as well as a different angle ratio of piston to crankshaft and a new balance shaft. If the engine really does that, then Zontes is obviously looking to the potent singles from KTM and also just nibbles on the maximum performance of A2 bikes. This is how you kill two birds with one stone.

Prices and availability

The GK from Zontes is currently more of a series-ready study than a series model. The prices for the current, off-road T-models start at a good 5,000 euros, a cafe scrambler should be similar here.
