BMW K75S 1995

Menus

The first model of the K75 series was released in 1985. The range will be expanded the following year with an aesthetically more sporty version: the K75S.

The engine of the K75 is a derivative of the famous K100, 4cylinders in longitudinal line flat of 1000cc to which the designers would have removed a cylinder.

The engine is therefore a 3-cylinder 740 cc developing 75 horsepower which shows great flexibility and good will. A counterbalance shaft neutralizes a good part of the vibrations and makes the 3 cylinders discreet and civilized.

Technically, the S version is not sporty. It differs from the basic K75 only by its fairing head, an engine guard and a 285 mm rear disc brake with 1 piston caliper replacing the large double cam drum of the base model..

The behavior of the machine thus equipped remains similar to the K75 with a few little extras, such as better protection, a gain of 10 km / h in top speed and slightly reduced fuel consumption..

The K75S will not undergo any major modification throughout its career, except the appearance of ABS in 1990, and will be remembered as a very good road, puncture-proof and accessible..
