BMW R 1100 S 2004

A BMW sports car has nothing to do with the CBR or GSX-R. If the thin Japanese blades do in karate, German is more suited to polo. Sport, of course, but with class and finesse. In appearance, it is undeniable that the R 1100 S is the sportiest of the BMs.. The front is both feline and muscular, contrasting with the finesse of the rear. A real treat to contemplate this magnificent rim attached to the Paralever single-sided arm; and a dose of adrenaline is added when the eye lingers on the 2 pots under the saddle (very Ducati 996 design). Gentlemanly pistarde when it evolves in the Boxer Cup (a branded cut just for her), its actual use is in fact close to the sport-GT category. A bit like an 800 VFR, the bike shows great versatility that just needs to be asserted via the multiple GT options available..
The 1085 cm3 Boxer gains 8 hp here, releasing a health of 98 nags. This power is expressed generously between 3 and 5,000 revs without being dazzling. Less efficient in high revs, the twin still allows to shoot the 400 m DA in less than 12 “.

BMW R 1100 SNo problem for the chassis which follows wonderfully. Stability is never faulted, the efficiency of the motorcycle is remarkable and comfort preserved – No question for a machine of this standing to be as stiff as an Italian hypersport. On degraded pavement, all you have to do is adjust the fork (even when driving) via a dial in front of the tank to put the S back on a rail. Without being a dead donkey, it lacks maneuverability in slow sequences. Brembo braking is excellent, protection also up to 180 km / h. The only complaint one can make with the R 1100 S is the all too familiar presence of vibrations. When at its price …….. It’s a BM, not a Japanese.
