BMW R 1200 GS Rallye 2012

Menus

It smells like the end of life for the R 1200 GS. Before the long-awaited new generation with liquid block, BMW is multiplying the special series of its famous trail, the best-selling in the world in its segment (and others). After the frankly dark Triple Blacks, a return to luminosity with the Rallye edition. The decoration is based on that of the first R 80 GS Paris / Dakar, initiator of the segment. Covered in a very “hunter-alpine” white, the R 1200 GS Rallye sports the BMW Motorsport colors on its sides. What is eye-catching is the red frame, monopolizing the eye with a series of small cosmetic details, such as the integrated fork painted in black, the two-tone saddle, the fully chromed exhaust line, the black painted engine, cylinder heads and swingarm dipped in granite gray.

The air-cooled boxer remains, with its cylinder heads from the HP2 Sport, just like the oh-so-efficient chassis. But who says special series says additional equipment. The Rallye offers you more than decoration. For 850 euros more (or 14,950 – in Germany), you get the on-board computer, heated grips, a set of hand guards, the luggage rack, ESA Enduro electronic suspension and wire wheels..
