Following the resignation of Gerard Pressouyre, Daniel Rivière takes the helm of Peugeot Motocycles. Coming from the aeronautics and automotive industries after having been trained at the Ecole Centrale de Paris, Mr. Rivière, 56, has been part of the PSA group since 1989.

The Peugeot Motocycles Board of Directors, which met on May 11, 2007, appointed Daniel Rivière as CEO of the company.

Mr. Rivière succeeds Gerard Pressouyre who announced his decision to "resign from office for personal reasons", indicates Peugeot Motocycles.

After studying at the Ecole Centrale de Paris, Daniel Rivière studied in the United States where he obtained a Master of Sciences in civil engineering.

Aged 56, Mr. Rivière is currently CEO of Process Conception Ingenierie (PCI, an engineering and capital goods subsidiary of PSA) whose head office is based in Meudon la Forêt (92) and of its subsidiary. Construction, equipment, mechanization and machinery company (SCEMM), specialized in machine tools and based in Saint-Etienne (42).

Appointed in 1982 Deputy CEO of Gelbon, a subsidiary of the Labinal group specializing in aeronautics, he joined the Thomsom CSF group in 1984, successively holding the positions of division director at Ragonot then CEO at Bronzavia and Auxilec (aeronautics) until in to 1989.

In 1989, he joined the PSA Peugeot Citroën group as CEO of SAMM (a subsidiary of PSA for the manufacture of high-tech equipment for aeronautics and defense), then he was appointed CEO of PCI in 2000.

Since October 2005, Daniel Rivière is also president of AFAQ-AFNOR Certification and AFAQ-AFNOR International, the French and international standardization bodies..
