Gilera Fuoco 500 i.e.: The three-wheel scooter SUV car

The drive train, on the other hand, is technically less sophisticated: it is just as easy to operate as everything else. An automatic clutch and a fully variable transmission save any switching work. But the engagement speed is quite high, the classic rubber band effect dilutes the starting torque, and somehow you can’t shake the impression that a good part of the 500’s power is stuck in the drive. The injector with dual ignition does not please with a particularly sporty sound at higher speeds. The less dynamic speed changes cause it to produce a typically uninspired scooter sound. He can only shoot properly when standing. Before the clutch engages, it almost sounds like the legendary Yamaha XT 500.
The driving performance itself, on the other hand, is worthy of all credit: Gilera states a top speed of 143 km/h, and it reaches 100 km/h in just 7.0 seconds. Thanks to the ease of operation, the Fuoco is always a contender at traffic lights.

  1. More reality than appearance
I’ve been driving a converted Fuoco for a few months. What do I care what others … I’ve been driving a converted Fuoco for a few months. What do I care what other people think about it. Most motorists also underestimate this scooter. They don’t seem to think it’s capable of more than 80 km/h. It’s really fun to turn on the gas tap when needed. Then it’s over with fun – because of walker and wheelchair.

  2. Doesn’t have to be related to incompetence
As the owner of the old FS 3, I find that a good alternative. Especially in large cities, driving on the inner-city expressways with a 50 ccm scooter is not allowed and you have to take long detours. Before I make a motorcycle FS, which isn’t exactly cheap either, I’d rather get such a vehicle.

  3. driving license cl. 3
MP3 250 from July, 400 from September 2008 ex works with cl. 3. Permit. Conversion Fuoco 500 for 1199.00 .

  4. 3 wheel
Sorry, but the 3Rad somehow has exactly one wheel too many, or exactly one wheel too few. Looks like an AOK quad that failed the test. But if you like it, buy it.

  5. Driver’s license III
I’ve had the little brother of the Fuoco (Piaggio MP3 250ie) for a good two months now and wouldn’t give it up. It is currently the only way for me to drive a motorcycle with a car driver’s license. Here it is not important whether the motorcycle has two axles or not, but whether it is a two-track vehicle. After a small conversion, the MP3 / Fuoco can be approved as a trike.

  6. driver’s license
Mr. Mangler’s comment is not correct. In the old driving license law (was regulated in the StVZO), trucks were not about two wheels, but u.a. from "more than two axes" the speech. The scooter tricycle is therefore not included. However, in the new driving license regulation, the motorcycle is classified as a "Two-wheeler, also with sidecar" described.

  7. driver’s license
As far as I know, vehicles with more than two wheels require a class 2 driver’s license. The exception is agricultural vehicles which, due to their design, may not be faster than 25 km/h.

  8. Part certificate withdrawn
The parts certificate was withdrawn because it does not meet the legal requirements. Driving with car driver’s license is not in it.

  9. Ridiculous
Scooter driving in itself is already bad but with 3 wheels only right. What security should the third wheel bring? The risk of motorcycling is that you are overlooked and the crumple zone consists of your own body or by extreme self-assessment. The risk is not in the fact that you canvert in the curve.

  10. Just try
Before judgments are like, you should just drive the vehicle. Since you can immediately feel the more security. That this pleasure also costs a little more is ok. Otherwise you could also ask all the motorcycles in question.
