In honor of the motorcycle racer Carlin Dunne who died at the Pikes Peak hill climb in 2019, Ducati has auctioned a Panigale V4 25 Anniversario 916 on Ebay. The proceeds go to the Carlin Dunne Foundation.

In 2018, Carlin Dunne won the Pikes Peak hill climb, taking the two-wheeler title for Ducati return. In 2019, the US-American and Ducati works driver was killed in the race on Pikes Peak. He fell and succumbed to his injuries shortly afterwards (June 30, 2019). The “King of the Mountain” led the field with a lead of over seven seconds and fell a few meters from the finish line. Dunne died at the age of only 36. He was a three-time champion at the Pikes Peak Hillclimb.

In memory of Carlin Dunne, Ducati now has one of 500 Panigale V4 25 Anniversario 916 auctioned. Specifically, it’s about model number 5, because that was the start number of the Ducati works driver.
