Ducati 1098 R Bayliss Limited Edition 2009

Menus

With his 3rd Superbike World Champion title, Troy Bayliss becomes one of the legendary Ducati masters. It will have acquired its titles on 3 different generations of hypersport manufactured in Bologna: With the 998, the 999, and the 1098. The brand is not ungrateful: it now offers its formidable 1098 R in a special Bayliss Limited Edition series..

Distinctive sign, this magnificent decoration of the official Ducati-Xerox team, the same used for the last round of the 2008 season, and only for this round, for this farewell of the champion to the competition. A stunning dress designed by Aldo Drudi, adorned with the Australian flag (the homeland of Troy) on the sides, stamped with the number 21 and released from the stickers on behalf of the sponsors.

Technically, this limited series fully complies with the 1098 R. We are therefore entitled to a chassis of high pedigree, with tubular trellis frame painted in red, an inverted Ohlins fork, one-piece Brembo radial brake calipers, a rear shock absorber Ohlins TTX-R (the end of the end), Marchesini magnesium rims, Ducati data acquisition system, electronic traction control with 8 profiles, adjustable Ohlins steering damper, full carbon fairing and large crazy twin: 1198 cm3, 180 hp and almost 14 mkg – All this combat gear for a weight of barely 165 kg.

Rare and fantastical, the 1098 R Bayliss Limited Edition will be produced in 500 copies, each delivered with a numbered plate on the triple tree and a few essential small gifts: a single-sided stand stand, a cover, an electronic chip for track use and a Termignoni racing exhaust line spitting 102 dB and 6 hp more in race configuration.
