Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak 2012

With its 1200 Multistrada, Ducati quite simply invented the “hypersportive trail that knows how to travel”. As proof, the machine did not hesitate to sinter in 2010 with one of the most grueling hill climbs in the world: the climb of Pikes Peak. A good crazy thing as we like it. 156 turns on 19.93 kilometers of dusty road, a start given at 2,865 meters altitude, 1,440 m vertical drop, and a drop of 600 meters if you leave the road approaching the finish line.

Two years ago, a Multistrada driven by Greg Tracy brilliantly won the 1200 cc class and finished 2nd in the general classification. To celebrate this victory, Bologna is releasing a limited edition Pikes Peak 1200 S, with a Ducati Corse dress and a handful of sporty gear. Being an S model, the bike is equipped with electronically adjustable Ohlins suspension in 4 modes, allowing you to switch from sport to enduro with one click. This special series adds to the package a Termignoni carbon exhaust, a racing screen, muzzle and mudguard in the same material. A few cosmetic touches underline the exclusivity of the machine: toe clips and a black anodized shoe, the lattice frame painted in red, red stitching on the saddle.

Here is a little video that will give you an overview of what is going on there..
