Dayna Smart Electric Rescue

Electric crosser for rescue services

Students from the Spanish design and engineering college Elisavas in Barcelona have developed an electric motorcycle for rescue missions.

HThere are eleven students from the Elisava Racing Team in the project named Dayna. The aim was to develop a motorcycle that would give first aiders quick access to injured persons even on rough ground. It goes without saying that the concept couldn’t ignore a crosser. And because Dayna is supposed to be sustainable, it comes with a purely electric drive.

Extensively sociable

Connectivity is one of the core competencies of the rescue crosser. The two-wheeler can communicate via GPS satellites, dial into the Internet or make contact via Bluetooth. When the first aide has reached the scene of the accident with Dayna, he can precisely guide other helpers and bring help more quickly. Dayna carries medical equipment in two suitcases for first aid on site.

So far Dayna is one of a kind. Should the concept be commercialized, however, the rescue workers could network all Dayna models with one another and thus help even more efficiently.

Conclusion

So that the electric crosser can efficiently use his skills in rescue operations, a driver is of course also required who can handle the motorcycle in the field. Whether the paramedic training will be expanded to include an enduro unit …?
