Next to the big, international brands, there are these lesser known private labels, but not necessarily less well made and often offering a better quality / price ratio.. So we tried what existed in the range of the German distributor Louis’ brand, in any case, in the models whose style was a little less German and a little easier to wear at home. This is particularly the case of the Tifoso textile jacket, which exists in a women’s version..
This model is also available in a female version of the same name with which it shares many points in common, but also important differences. We take stock of this biker jacket in a full test.
Vanucci Tifoso women’s jacket trial
Presentation
Apparently, it is not easy to make the connection between the male and female versions of Vanucci Tifoso. If very often the brands are content to re-cut the same model according to the female morphology, here it is the entire cut of the jacket that has been revised. Resembling a sportswear jacket, the Tifoso sports a beige (or anthracite depending on your preference) color with an aged appearance and featuring some orange decorative elements. The fabric effect is particularly successful regardless of the color. The details are also numerous on the jacket and adhere perfectly to the urban spirit, such as the removable hood.
Vanucci has made huge strides in terms of looks on this model compared to the one we saw and presented 3 years ago. It is today an elegant model when the versions seen in 2015 in particular were "portable" but not really trendy..
Vanucci Tifoso jacket in women’s version
Technically, the female jacket stands out from the male model here too, as it is made from a Cosatec 300D polyester fabric where the other version featured a 600 denier weave that is more protective against abrasion. The Tifoso however receives reinforcements in Cosatec 600D on the elbows and shoulders.
The Tifoso is adorned with a removable hood
Inside, the fixed mesh lining is complemented by a Drygate climate membrane providing protection against rain and wind. A removable thermal liner completes the set for those days when the mercury drops, the latter also featuring ribbing and a knitted collar.

The feminine Vanucci jacket can be adjusted at the bottom of the sleeves with a press-stud and can be combined with trousers thanks to a double zipper at the waist. The two exterior pockets are not waterproof, but you will find something to store your fragile things, such as your smartphone, inside. It is even marked on it: "phone".

In terms of safety, the female Tifoso is identical in every way to its male counterpart with removable Super Shield protectors on the elbows (adjustable) and shoulders, reinforced seams at the points of impact, a pocket for back protection and some reflective inserts.

As soon as you put on the jacket, you have the impression of being perfectly enveloped in a very cozy cocoon, thanks in particular to the lining and the flexibility of the textile. It doesn’t look like it, but it gives an interior impression close to the impression given by a down jacket. Yes, it is at this point! The fitted feminine cut is very well made. And it is not only aesthetic because the movements are very easy once the jacket is closed..
During our test in Austria, we had a temperature range of 5 ° C to 25 ° C which allowed this jacket to be tested well. Up to 12 ° C, the unlined jacket thanks to its Drygate climate membrane perfectly cuts the wind and lets the body breathe. When the thermometer drops below 10 ° C, the removable thermal liner is welcome and does its job perfectly. The finish of this lining is above all very well done to cut all air inlets, especially at the wrists and neck thanks to a woven elastic border. In addition, the lining has its own zipper on the front side which allows to have two levels of closure on the front side..
Trial of the Vanucci Tifoso in female version
In town or when walking, the jacket is very comfortable to wear and goes unnoticed. The removable hood is appreciated in case of rain or very cold.
Conclusion
Presented as a 4-season jacket, this jacket can especially cover the 3 seasons of the year from autumn to spring, except for summer, too hot or a mesh jacket will often be more suitable. Very pleasant to wear and comfortable for the road, it also brings an atypical almost hiking look but with all the technicality one expects from a motorcycle jacket. And in addition, it really changes the black and fuchsia pink women’s models! With its price of 199 €, Louis offers here a jacket well placed in quality / price ratio. The only problem is that it is Louis’ own brand and you won’t find it anywhere else, especially on sale. It is therefore its constant price unless it falls on their promo period.
