Mid-season gloves, the Vanucci Touring IV adorned with the usual aesthetic elegance of the brand. Their dynamic cut and prominent upper protective elements give them an almost sporty style. But their color remains discreet, mixing gray and black Cordura fabric on the top and Allcura goat leather on the palm. The latter, particularly flexible, incorporates reinforcements (thenar and hypothenar eminences), one of which is in Keprotec (Schoeller), a fabric combining Cordura and Kevlar. The textile parts have many gussets (fingers and wrists) and a solid Visco-Lab shell protects the top of the knuckles. 3M reflective coating is also affixed at this level. Obviously, these gloves have a breathable, windproof and waterproof mcTex-type membrane. This hydro-thermal protection is present throughout the product.

Stylish, the long ergonomic cuff with asymmetric cut has an openwork tightening flap stamped with the brand’s V. An additional strap ensures a good tightening on the wrist by Velcro. Finally, always and for a long time attentive to the user experience, Vanucci equips thumb and forefinger with a conductive material for the use of smartphones and other touch screens…. And that’s very handy. As is the visor wiper on the left index finger. An element unfortunately not so common.

Test
The interior microfiber is pleasant and the flexibility of the glove appreciable. Only the top brace is a bit stiff at the start, another feature of the Vanucci brand. Do not be offended, it relaxes a bit afterwards, but still remains quite firm.
The great thing about these Touring IVs is their Maximum Comfort fit technology (mcFit). Thus, the coating, membrane and liner are partially glued together. This prevents frankly painful / unbearable sliding / overturning of the latter. Most Vanucci gloves incorporate this system, guaranteeing real peace of mind at this level..
A little stiff at first, the gloves relax quickly
The advantage of mid-season gloves is that they are thinner than dedicated winter products, thus maintaining good hand agility and correct grip (switchgear, helmet navigation elements, etc.). And nothing prevents slipping thin inner gloves to optimize protection against the cold. In fact, with use, you will be wearing these gloves a good part of the "bad" season. Their resistance to frost is very good and their impermeability is correct. However, if your hands are dry after one of the trips in the rain, do not plan to put them back on before drying overnight. Some moisture permeates the gloves and takes time to wipe off. Their temperature scale ensures comfort between 5 and 15 ° C, depending on your personal preferences of course.
