Fantic engine and Yamaha Motor Europe want to strengthen their strategic partnership, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Yamaha announced on Wednesday (October 7th, 2020). Both partners plan to work more closely together in the field of motorcycles and electromobility. As part of the deepened partnership, Fantic will also take over all shares in the jointly operated engine manufacturer Motori Minarelli by the end of 2020. This means that Minarelli is freer to serve new customers and thus to increase its capacity utilization.

E-mobility and new Fantic burners

Motori Minarelli, in turn, is to expand its portfolio to include electric drives that will be installed in future Fantic models. Yamaha provides the know-how for electric drives. Fantic but also benefits from access to selected Yamaha internal combustion engines. The Italians can expand their model range and Yamaha increase the production numbers of its engines.
