Fantic Caballero Scrambler 500 Anniversary Edition
Sportier special edition presented
Fantic has introduced a sportier version of the Caballero Scrambler 500. The main difference between the Anniversary Edition and the basic model is its appearance. There are also minor adjustments to the engine and chassis.
Slightly reworked engine, also slightly adapted spring elements, some new design elements and a tank bag included in the purchase price – in summary, these should be the biggest differences between the F.antic Caballero Scrambler 500 and the so-called "Anniversary Edition" represent. At first glance, the new Fantic is reminiscent of a mixture of a sportier basic Scrambler and the rally version of the Caballero 500.
Anniversary edition in red and blue paintwork
In principle, interested parties can choose between two different base coats: a red and a blue. The only difference between the two versions is the differently painted tank. Both variants have a round plate attached to the side with the inscription "50 Anniversary Edition" can be seen. The manufacturer also donated a tricolor stripe on the tank to both special editions. In addition, a grille was installed in front of the headlight, which further enhances the scrambler look. Apart from that, the special edition differs from the basic version in various mudguards, for example on the engine, and the already mentioned tank bag.
The Anniversary is not only available in blue but also in red.
Fantic has also made minor adjustments to the mapping of the engine, which now improves its performance slightly "smoother" should unfold. The liquid-cooled single cylinder with 449 cm³ still delivers 40 HP at 7,500 rpm and 43 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The Italian manufacturer has also tweaked the spring settings. Smaller pilots benefit from a seat height that has been lowered by 20 millimeters to a total of 820 millimeters. The new Fantic should weigh 150 kilograms dry, with twelve liters fit in the tank. Two-channel ABS, 320 discs in the front and an exhaust system from Arrow complete the special edition. In Italy, the Anniversary Edition starts at 7,140 euros. In Germany, the anniversary edition is a little cheaper and costs 6,990 euros.
With the new anniversary special edition Fantic brings a new Caballero 500, which is reminiscent of a cross between the Scrambler and the rally of the Italian manufacturer.
