Harley-Davidson 115th Anniversary
Anniversary Celebration in Milwaukee

Content of

From August 29th to September 2nd, Harley-Davidson celebrated its 115th anniversary. We were at the so-called “115th Anniversary” in Milwaukee and brought tons of pictures.

The traditional US manufacturer has 115 years Harley-Davidson meanwhile under his belt. Respect! To celebrate this anniversary in style, Harley has put on a big event in Milwaukee. There were numerous conversions, historic Harley models, racing events, live music and much more. The event ended with a large parade on Sunday, in which almost 7,500 bikers are said to have taken part.

Comment from Markus Biebricher (Editor-in-Chief)

MOTORRAD editor-in-chief Markus Biebricher was in Milwaukee during the event and was impressed by the successful event and the atmosphere: “The 115th Harley party in Milwaukee was not quite as wild as the 100th anniversary. Nonetheless, the party was a lot of fun and showed that the Americans’ joy in the traditional manufacturer from Milwaukee is unbroken. Harley-Davidson is a piece of national identity.

At the side events such as Flat Out Friday, the flat track races, hill climbing and drag races, the national anthem was always sung, which was also accompanied by live singers. All in all: Great party, especially in the evenings on Brady Street or in Veterans Park. I also think it’s worth mentioning that there wasn’t too much to see or feel of a crisis. On the contrary: Harley-Davidson wants to enter new markets. Smaller cubic capacities, new engines, new types of vehicles (scrambler, roadster, flat tracker, naked bikes) and electromobility are on the agenda. And not just since the last presidential election. The predominant market in the USA for large, heavy tourers and excavators does not seem to be sustainable on its own.”
