Serious update in 2018 for the Slim, with the same set of developments as the entire Softail range. This year was a tactical moment for this family, with important technical modifications, and the reception of models which had to abandon the Dyna frame.. By salvaging the 1745cc Milwaukee-Eight engine, the Slim leaps in power and torque. More modern, more civilized, still Harley, the block with 4 valves per cylinder gives a much more vigor to the machine. On the chassis side, everything is new. The deceptively Hardtail frame benefits from a new design, requiring fewer welds and parts. We gain in weight and rigidity. Strongly. This new frame also saw the migration of the rear suspension. The duo of shock absorbers under the engine is exchanged against a mono-shock absorber hidden under the saddle. For the front, the double flap valve fork has already proven its effectiveness on Touring models. It can only respond positively to the expectations of Slim drivers.
This Softail takes advantage of this evolution to appropriate a few touches of dark. On Hollywood spoked rims, fork and handlebars. His Bobber trend is all the more obvious.
