The Springer owes its existence to its particular but oh so exuberant fork. A very rarely used model: a parallelogram fork. And it does not date from yesterday: the first model of Springer appeared shortly after the 2nd world war; and the principle itself dates from the 1930s. This type of front axle is heavier and more expensive than a classic model with double sheaths but it has certain advantages: more comfort, equivalent efficiency and devastating appearance. With the Springer, sure that you will make many curious on the terrace of the cafes. Now, a much more alert breath animates this singular custom. The Twin Cam 88 gives way to a version with a larger displacement: the 96 ci with 1584 cm3. 1 mkg of torque and more horses. The Big Block has a balance shaft and is mounted rigid in the frame.

We would have appreciated braking more up to this big custom. Too bad, because the mechanics score points, forgets the 1450 and leaves no regrets of the antique 1340. The shock absorbers do their job well. Aside from its brakes, this Softail is healthy to drive. Spoked wheels complete the look perfectly.
