Traveling in Street Glide will become richer in emotions with this Special model. Harley is raising the level of equipment of its very popular Touring without encroaching on the lands of the Electra. A delicate dosage that Davidson knows how to handle perfectly. The identity of the FLHX is completely preserved, and the small S added at the end of the name means an improvement of many small details, from the simplest – like the fairing skirt covered in the same color as the body – to the most entertaining. , like BOOM! Box 6.5 GT.
With the Rushmore project, the Street Glide won a latest generation multimedia console in version 4.3. Now, it is the most high-end H-D “infotainment” that the MoCO has installed on this machine. What is obvious is the large 6.5-inch touch screen (hence the name) connected to a whole range of amenities. You can plug in your iPhone, MP3, SD card and other USB systems. All by itself, the installation has enough to take care of: telephone functions by voice recognition, Bluetooth, GPS, radio, 75 watts per channel, and … The Twin Cam, you have to listen to it too, bazaar !!!
Not yet the Twin Cooled for the Street Glide, but plenty to enjoy the Harley legend with the High Output. Appeared in 2014 with the Rushmore improvements, this Twin Cam retains the displacement of 1690 cm3 but a camshaft and a specific airbox allow it to develop more torque than the base 103 ci. Not necessarily powerful with regard to its displacement, the twin-cylinder advances especially 14 mkg of torque obtained very early, in the inimitable rumble of the fat American metal.
Damping now benefits from the low rear air suspension. In 2014, the technical package had already evolved with a 49 mm fork and Reflex coupled brakes. Then, we find the equipment of the Street Glide Rushmore: double halogen headlight, “One-touch” opening / closing system, cruise control, Batwing fairing with ventilation inlet, larger cases, more ergonomic controls, etc….
Its success always comes at a high price, but the charm is not about to fall again with this Street Glide Special..
