Honda 125 VARADERO XLV 2005

Menus

It’s not just for big cubes. Honda now offers its Varadero trail in a 125 version. The aesthetics are largely inspired by the big trail 1000, and like it, the XLV 125 is equipped with a twin, in this case that of the Shadow. An excellent engine, one of the best 125 4-stroke, which powers the only two-cylinder trail running on the market.

If he is sober and takes the Varadero at a good pace, he struggles to resume because the bike is not a model of lightness. It must be said that his size is imposing and particularly rewarding. Added to this is substantial and quality equipment, not to mention life on board. If the 1000 is a quality traveler, the little one is also doing well: the autonomy is impressive, the protection convincing (even excellent with the high bubble option), and the comfort of good quality. The saddle and the suspensions are friendly traveling companions.

A good braking machine, provided you press firmly, the Varadero is also at ease in the city. Its dimensions do not prevent the driver from putting his feet on the ground because the saddle is at the right height. Benefiting from good road holding, it only has to fear the TDR, whose 2-stroke engine is much more punchy (especially in unbridled version).
