Kawasaki KX 450 F 2014

Menus

Adjustable cockpit, Launch Contol, 3 engine maps, an injection calibration kit, the Kawasaki KX 450 F offers you one goal: to be ahead of the pack !

Launch Control mode

The KX 450 F benefits from a departure assist device called “Launch Control”, very similar to that of the factory KXs. With the push of a button, the pilot can activate a separate engine settings map that increases the chances of getting off to a good start in the race on slippery terrain..

Ease of engine adjustments : Direct injection parameters (3 maps to choose from)

The original settings for the three maps are: Standard, Hard, and Soft. Using the supplied DFI plugs, the pilot can easily switch from one map to another to adapt the settings to the driving conditions.

Adjustable handlebars

On the upper crown, two mounting positions for the saddles and reversible saddles provide four handlebar adjustments: 25mm forward, 15mm forward, normal and 10mm backward.

Adjustable footrests

Thanks to their adjustable plate, the footrests can be lowered by 5 mm; by lowering the center of gravity and line of sight, this position enhances physical and psychological stability.

All the bite of the injection

The liquid-cooled 449cc 4-stroke single cylinder delivers punchy power from low to high revs. The highly usable power range and responsive acceleration unleash a torrent of torque that allows riders to pull the throttle right from low revs.

KX FI injection calibration set (optional)

The KX FI injection calibration set is identical to that used by official Kawasaki teams in Europe and the USA. It allows experienced pilots to adjust engine settings to their preferences.

Front suspension

The DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) treatment reduces friction. This surface treatment is also effective when exposed to lateral stresses. The hardness of this surface treatment minimizes scratches.

Pilot-Machine Interface

Narrower by 4 mm (2 mm on each side) than the 2012 and earlier vintages between the main beams, the ergonomic frame refines the driving position and allows better control of the machine.

Petal brake discs

The KX 450 F is fitted with front and rear petal brake discs. In addition to reducing unsprung masses, the disc petals naturally clean the brake pads for better braking performance.

An engine inspired by competition

The high-performance piston (inspired by those used in competition), revised intake valves and specific ECU tuning ensure exceptional performance in low and mid-range.

A “Factory” style

A design of the front fender and rear fender in white, black aluminum rims, black fork guards, the finish of the suspension settings and blue aluminum engine details give the KX 450 F the look of a ” a machine built for performance.

Pneumatic fork (Pneumatic Spring Fork / PSF)

The KX 450 F is fitted with this system as standard. Shock absorption is provided by pressurized air instead of the springs. Reduced weight, simplified adjustments and a wider range of settings are the strengths of this fork..

Uni-Trak rear suspension

The balance system is mounted under the swingarm for more precise suspension adjustment. Dual compression adjustment offers a wide range of optional adjustments. Kashima surface treatment of the cartridge improves its function.
