NMoto Nostalgia Project

The BMW R nineT becomes the R7

In 1934 BMW presented the Art Deco R7 bike as a prototype that never went into series production. Now NMoto presents a conversion kit that transforms the R nineT into the R7.

D.he BMW R7 was way ahead of its time in 1934. Even if it did not make it into series production, it stuck in the minds of many BMW fans. The prototype went missing and did not reappear until 2005. The collector’s value is said to be around one million dollars, making the bike almost inaccessible. The custom bike manufacturer NMotor from Miami (Florida) now wants to change that.

R7 look for just under $ 50,000

The Americans also charge a fair amount for their R7. The basic bike – a BMW R nineT, on which the conversion is based – is available for $ 49,500. The conversion kit for the Nostalgia Project christened R7 includes 96 handcrafted parts, many of them made of aluminum. The customer receives a bike in the look of the legendary BMW R7 with a modern, comfortable chassis and a 110 hp boxer engine.

The conversion parts include the oversized side panels, a new rear frame, new fenders, a new tank as well as new wire wheels and a new exhaust system. Add to this a saddle, a new handlebar, a new swing arm and countless trim parts.

Almost 50 customers have already ordered

Even if NMoto adds numerous parts, the Nostalgia is 205 kilograms, well below the weight of the original bike. Of course, the Nostalgia can be customized to a large extent beyond the basic conversion kit. And because the drive technology remains untouched, the Nostalgia can also shine with unrestricted suitability for everyday use. Around 50 customers should already be convinced by the concept and have ordered.
