We stopped believing it would happen ! It had been so long that we expected a real villainous large-displacement roadster at Honda … Because despite their qualities, the CB 1000 Big One, X-11 and other Hornet 900s never really met their audience..

Too close aesthetically to the eponymous 600, the Hornet also suffered from a finish and a cycle part too disappointing to have a successful career..

But let’s make a clean sweep of the past and welcome the arrival of this CB 1000 R, whose aggressive design lives up to its sporting claims (read our).

And that was necessary to worry the FZ1, which has had great success since its release in 2006: 3156 sales in 2006, 2278 in 2007 and 1869 in 2008. The Yamaha roadster has won over many bikers with its efficient cycle part, its R1 engine and, above all, its brutish face.
