These teams wear the colors of twelve countries while their drivers come from 17 different countries (France, Japan, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Central European countries, United States, Australia, Colombia …).

Twelve teams are entering the entire championship for the first time, with varying backgrounds and ambitions. This is particularly the case of the Belgian Mototech EWC Team (Honda) which aims to "learn and develop our team", explains David Drieghe, team manager of Mototech. "Our goal is to be competitive as quickly as possible but we are a small Belgian team and the biggest challenge is to raise the necessary budget".

12 newcomers throughout the championship

Note also the arrival of the Zuff Racing Team throughout the championship after its first laps at the Bol d’Or in 2015. 6th Superstock at the finish of the 24 Heures Motos 2017, the young Swiss team aims to "progress for move to EWC in order to become a permanent team like the Bolliger Team and find very successful Swiss riders ", explains Kevin Zufferey, team manager and pilot of the Zuff Racing Team which will field a Honda in the Superstock category:" doing one or two races does that to make the mouth water, it is a dream to be able to participate in the whole championship but so far the budget did not allow it ".

Finally, the French team RAC41 Honda, finished third in the 24 Heures Motos and fourth in the Bol d’Or in 2010. Present in French races in recent seasons, the team created in 1999 by Arnaud Larose is committed for a full season. in Superstock. "The objective is to get a place on the podium in this category", explains team manager Ludovic Reze.

The price of success: among the 75 teams registered for the Bol d’Or, only 59 are admitted to the start this weekend. Several amateur and / or private (medium) teams who only wanted to compete in the French rounds therefore paid the price for this "professionalization" of endurance, preference being given to permanent teams..
