Avinton, the ‘new’ French motorcycle from Wakan

A ” new ” French motorcycle brand will make its appearance this weekend on the Castellet circuit (83) during the Motorcycle event of the year: Avinton (pronounced ” avinetone ”), which is actually the estate of Wakan liquidated last year.

The invitation for the "discovery of Avinton during its exclusive launch on April 8 and 9, 2012 at the Paul Ricard circuit during the Sunday Ride Classic", this meeting of"classic and exceptional machines"organized by Jean-Pierre Bonato, is laconic to say the least:"a machine imagined and built in France, a minimalist roadster with extreme sensations (V2, 1640cc)"…

But our readers will have recognized on the photo of this invitation the tank of the Wakan Roadster (read in particular and) !

The French motorcycle brand founded in 1999 by Joël Domergue had officially disappeared last year (read), but it seemed to take the opportunity to, like the Phoenix, rise from its ashes with this promising launch of Avinton…
