The "original equipment" is ardently coveted by tire manufacturers: specific on many two-wheelers thanks to the technical indications that the manufacturer communicates to the tire manufacturer, the original tires can sublimate or on the contrary encumber the potential of a motorcycle, such as in the case of the controversial Kawasaki Z750 and Dunlop Qualifier combination.
Carefully cultivating an image of performance and sport, Ducati and Pirelli have thus decided to collaborate exclusively on the first mounts of the Belles de Bologna from January 1, 2010..
This unprecedented alliance would complete an association started several years ago "with the development of Pirelli products for Ducati models and marketing initiatives such as the Ducati Desmo Challenge (a Ducati Cup contested in Pirelli on six Italian circuits in 2009, Editor’s note) ", indicates Pirelli.
According to the two Italian firms "both customers and resellers will benefit from this unique range of tires and increased proximity between the communities of the two brands". In practice, the Monster 1100 (read our comparative test of May 7, 2009) will now be available with Pirelli’s latest sports equipment: the Diablo Rosso Corsa (read).
Star of the Ducati stand at the Motorcycle Show in Milan, the new Multistrada 2010 (read our) will be equipped with Pirelli Scorpion Trail Enduro Street while the Hypermotard EVO SP will be marketed with Diablo Supercorsa SP (Diablo Rosso on the base model ).

Recalling for his part that this decisive agreement "brings value to our leadership in the world of two-wheelers", Guglielmo Fiocchi, director of the motorcycle department of Pirelli Tire, notes that"Ducati is a logical partner for us and we are delighted to continue this partnership between two Italian companies".
