The 2019 WorldSBK world championship will take place as in 2018 over 13 events … but with three races per weekend in the SBK "queen" category! Another change for the next season: the return of Jerez to the calendar in early June, replacing Brno (Czech Republic).

Update of December 19, 2019 – In November, another event remained to be confirmed for the summer: that of the United States … The Laguna Seca circuit had initially announced that it would not host the WorldSBK in 2019 for a return to the championship in 2020 … but it will welcome the American round (for Superbikes only) in July.

The French meeting is retained: the Superbike and Supersport races will take place as usual on the Nevers Magny-Cours circuit (58) the last weekend of September..

Finally, note that France will not serve as the final for the World Supersport 300 in 2019: the kids will skip the Argentina test, but they will go to the grand final "by night" in Losail (Qatar), like their elders..

Great news for endurance

As Christophe Guyot remarks, "the will no longer be in competition with the WSBK for the first time since the arrival of as promoter" of the world endurance championship.

"That Superbike riders can take part in Le Mans and / or Le Bol (the 8H of Slovakia on May 11, 2019 and the 8H of Oschersleben on June 8, 2019 remain in competition with the WorldSBK in Imola and Jerez, NDLR) is a real godsend and a breath of fresh air for endurance teams wishing to enter top drivers ", this is" excellent news ", rejoices the GMT team manager even if" it will not influence the focus on the Mondial Supersport ".
