Market reports - First semester 2014: Ducati market report - Used DUCATI

Ducati has just completed the first half of 2014 with an increase of + 3.2% and has a total of 2,284 registrations. The General Manager of the Italian brand in France, Thierry Mouterde, gives his impressions to Site readers. Review and interview.

Site: The French motorcycle market is on the rise again in … Is it thanks to good weather, new products, dealers, demo vehicle registrations, poor scores from previous years ?!
Thierry Mouterde (General Manager Ducati West Europe)
: Nice increase indeed in the first half of the year, due to the numerous releases of new products, good weather and a lot of commercial operations to support the networks and help sales.

MNC: For you, what is the highlight of this first half of the year? ?
T. M.
: The fact that Ducati is named number 1 constructor in France following the satisfaction survey organized by The Cycle Official, with networks for the entire profession. This demonstrates the immense work carried out by the brand and its teams in recent years..

MNC: Regarding Ducati, what is your assessment of your first six months 2014 ?
T. M.
: Mixed! The market is becoming more and more unpredictable. Our objective of slight progress has been reached, but the second half promises us a tough battle to maintain this lead.

MNC: How is your second semester going? ?
T. M.
: The arrival of the should allow us to regain market share in a segment "small roadsters", very significant in France. This is the product we needed to consolidate our lead.

MNC: Finally, lowering speed limits on the roads make you fear a decrease in the attraction of the French for motorcycles and scooters? ?
T. M.
: It is obvious that this does not contribute to the development of the attraction of the French for the two-wheeler, nor for the four-wheeler for that matter! Now you have to learn to ride differently. Even if we do everything, at Ducati, to improve safety on our motorcycles (air bag, traction control, ABS), road repression does not care and continues to progress strongly. !
