2016 ZX-10R: always more !

Although it dates back to 2011, the current ZX-10R is far from being outdated: the first Japanese motorcycle to reach the 200 hp mark and to demonstrate traction control, the Greens’ Hypersport even has several lengths of ahead of the Honda CBR1000RR and the GSX-R1000.

Within the Japanese production, only the new Yamaha R1 – – sticks it a little old. On the European side, however, the Ninja deals with rivals that are sharper each year: the, and always push further the limits that we thought reserved for MotoGP !

Still, on his handlebars, the excellent Jonathan Rea is on the way to bring Kawasaki the title in, proof that the base is still in the game. It is therefore a safe bet that the Greens will be inspired by a minimum for the next vintage, whose arrival for 2016 is announced in the Superbike paddocks and in some Japanese media..

Our colleagues from Young Machine, often very familiar with the projects of local manufacturers, are for example the cover of their October issue with the photomontage below of a new ZX-10R looking like H2R, the .

No technical information filters this "scoop" claimed by Young Machine, but it is logical to think that it will necessarily do better in terms of power and weight. Currently advertised for 200.1 hp and 201 kg with ABS, the 2016 ZX-10R could therefore flirt with 210 hp and charge less than two full quintals on the scale..

In terms of electronics, a field that has become essential on this type of motorcycles, the Ninja will probably release a more advanced traction control, probably informed by inclinometers for more precision, like the girlfriends.

Very fond of sophistication on its motorcycles, Kawasaki could also equip it with electronic suspensions and a data acquisition system, now often coupled with smartphone applications (R1 and RSV4). An electronic start assistant and a shifter operating both upshift and downshift are also among the avenues that the Greens can use..

Something new to discover probably at the Milan Motorcycle Show (Italy) from November 19 to 22: stay tuned !

Neo-retro based on Z1000

Designed to pay homage to, the neo-retro prototype based on Z1000 unveiled by Kawasaki in also had the ambition to measure the possible interest of bikers for an approach of this type….

But according to the Greens, this roadster mixing the stylistic codes of the past (round headlight, flat saddle, long tank) and current technical solutions (Zed 4-leg, aluminum perimeter frame, inverted fork, radial calipers) aroused – and would arouse again – a lot of interest.

In the drafting of MNC we want to believe it, as the curious crowd around this proto during the events where Kawasaki exhibits it !

While it is likely that the two superb near-free silencers will not be kept on a hypothetical production version, as well as the radiator moved in front of the rear shock absorber, the general lines could prove to be close to the prototype..

On the mechanical side, the 4-cylinder of the Z1000 has all the assets required on this kind of motorcycles of character: strength, vigor and roundness are among its many qualities. In short, a motorcycle potentially able to cut croupiers à la, neo-retro with a strong temperament whose success titillates more and more manufacturers….

No developments for the ER-6n, Z800 and Versys, but a better equipped Z1000SX

Among the Kawasaki on which there is little or no evolution to expect for 2016, let us quote the ER-6 and Z800. Apart from new colors, the two bestsellers of the Greens will be renewed as they are in their functions: the task will be difficult in this highly competitive niche, badly boosted by the arrival of the Yamaha MT (07 and 09).

Revamped last year, the Versys 650 and 1000 will not move in 2016, with the exception of new colors too..

The Z1000SX on the other hand, however recently and, will release changes relating to its endowment of series. To its anti-slip, its adjustable windscreen and its original driving modes, the Greens’ roadster-GT adds ABS and a limited-slip clutch, which would reduce the effort to be deployed at the lever by "30%".

New colors will also be part of this Z1000SX 2016, which will be able to better respond to the arrival of new contenders in the segment, like the. Good news: its price would be maintained at the current level, i.e. € 13,399 with ABS.

MNC will naturally dissect these 2016 Kawasaki novelties – and all the others – during their presentation at EICMA in Milan: stay tuned !
