News - A new Honda CBR600RR in 2007 - Used HONDA

Honda today unveils four of its 2007 novelties in the United States: a lighter-than-air CBR600RR, a CBR1000RR identical to 2006 but with a new HRC Replica colorway, a VT 750DC Shadow Spirit and a cross-country CRF150R. Taste.

While waiting for the Cologne Intermot in October, where Honda promises to unveil "the major part"of its 2007 novelties, it is the Americans who today had the scoop of its first four 2007 motorcycles.

CBR 600 RR

Among the innovations presented today in Las Vegas by American Honda, the new CBR 600 RR is no exception to the "performance race"with a total weight loss of"8 kilos". The engine alone thus loses 2 kg – of which 900 g gained on a new, smaller crankcase – which makes it, according to the manufacturer,"the smallest and lightest engine in the hyper sport category". The frame loses 4.5 kg and the other components of the chassis 1.2 kg.

Purists will also be delighted to learn that "even all the electronics took part in the weight loss cure"with an economy"small but significant", assures Honda, of …"400 g". This leaves largely the possibility of taking again a bread in the morning in peace, without reducing to nothing the efforts of the Japanese engineers !

Thanks to the reduced engine dimensions, the wheelbase of the new 600CBR is reduced by 22mm, from 1395 to 1373mm, while the swingarm (black) gains 5mm.

A "technology concentrate" East "Of course"on board the new CBR600RR, explains Honda, including the arrival on the new 600 of the Honda Electronic Steering Damper (HESD, electronic steering damper) which fitted its big sister Fireblade.

At the front, the new CBR 600 inherits a new air intake located between the two headlights – like the Kawasaki Ninja or other Yamaha R6 and R1 -, derived from the system developed for the VTR 1000 SP2 in Superbike.

The swingarm turns black, as do the fork uprights, which lose their gold color. The fairing has also been redesigned and the air vents on the seat back, taken from the 1000 but which existed on the 600 last year, disappeared in 2007.

Available in January 2007 for "Around 11,000 euros", the new 2007 CBR600 will be offered in four colors including two new: Pearl Sunbeam White, Candy Tahitian Blue, Italian Red and Graphite Black.

CBR 1000 RR

The CBR1000RR "having benefited from significant improvements in 2006", it is mainly its new HRC Replica color that will distinguish the 2007 model.

Offered to "Approximately 14,500 euros"(i.e. 700 more than the standard version at"Approximately 13,800 euros"), the new CBR 1000 should be available from October 2006.

VT 750 DC Shadow Spirit

Noting that "the American custom cruiser segment remains popular in Europe, attracting many bikers"Honda renews the genre with a new version of the VT 750 DC equipped with a 21-inch front wheel with radiated rim, a double chrome exhaust and a saddle"ultra low"(652 mm).

Euro3 compatible, the new 2007 VT750DC is fitted with PGM-FI injection and the HISS coded key immobilizer system (Honda Ignition Security System). It will be available in March 2007 in Graphite Black and in Candy Glory Red at the price of "8,000 euros approximately".

CRF150RB

"In the world of cross country, the CRF150RB will generate a lot of ink", assures the world number, very proud of its"brand new competition model which should target a promising young clientele"… To be continued !
