News - A new Ninja 250R banned from staying with us ... - Used KAWASAKI

The youngest of the Kawasaki family undergoes profound changes in 2013, both in aesthetics and in technique. But what changes the most next year for the Ninja 250R is its marketing area: Europe and the United States are no longer on the program. !

Alongside the next version of the green Superbike (read) and the new Crosses (read), a new version of the Ninja 250R appears on the Japanese Kawasaki site….

On the French site, however, not a trace of this intriguing novelty: the 2012 model (identical to the original 2008 model, read then our) is still present at the very end of the page, along with the KLX 250, 125 and D-Tracker.

We must therefore return to the Japanese site to discover a "Baby Ninja" with lines inspired by the latest Akashi sports cars: double optics and bubble like the ZX-10R, fairing sides and rims 10 sticks like the ZZR1400, pot – one little more – short and LED tail light to the ZX-6R…

It’s simple: everything that defines a Ninja can be found on the “two-and-a-half,” including petal discs, built-in flashers and the LCD dashboard! Even the ABS "latest generation and ultralight"is optionally available.

Finally, the rear tire gains 10 mm in width (140 now) in order to "to increase the large displacement look of the Ninja 250", point out its designers. All that is missing is traction control … and a few horses. ?

Precisely mechanical question, we learn – provided you read Japanese or English, as you prefer! – that the parallel twin benefits from new foundries, new pistons, a second row of throttle at the intake and a new pot. However, the maximum values remain unknown..

Kawa ‘assures however that all these changes would offer the new Kawette "superior power and torque at all revs, a great advantage in terms of top speed and top acceleration, allowing the Ninja 250 to run at the forefront". The CBR250R and the future Inazuma had better watch out !

At the same time, the new "Diamond" type chassis, still made of steel, would improve handling, while the silent blocks placed at the front of the engine would reduce "significantly"the vibrations of the engine. Likewise, the new suspension settings promise to make the little roadster both more comfortable and sportier … We just ask to see !

Unfortunately, Site is unlikely to put its butt on this new 2013 Kawasaki: "this new Ninja 250R will not be imported into France", warns the subsidiary based in Élancourt. But beware, the Greens are not abandoning the small motorcycle segment….

In fact, Kawasaki has scheduled this fall the first presentation of a new Kawasaki 2013, qualified as "entry level road"by the brand’s managers in France. See you at the beginning of September to find out everything, on Site of course !
