From the end of July 2012, a new motorcycle will integrate the Ducati range: a Monster … Diesel. But let our readers be reassured: the Reds did not commit the irreparable by swapping the Air Desmodue for a diesel engine! It is actually a version celebrating the association between Ducati and Diesel, the brand of Italian clothing and perfumes … Phew !

Described as an "urban chic military interpretation" (!), This new model is based on the excellent .

Slightly modified in collaboration with Renzo Rosso, the founder of Diesel, the Italian roadster is technically unchanged but adopts a green-khaki colourway as well as bright yellow brake calipers and shock absorber spring.

Less classy than in its usual red dress, this "Diesel" version also exhibits a seat with bolsters and the Diesel logo on its tank sides, while a black grille covers the double exhaust outlet of the 1078 cc twin.

The partnership between Ducati and Diesel has also resulted in the creation of a "co-branded" clothing line intended "for addicts of active life, fashion and enthusiasts devoted to these two Italian brands", specifies Ducati. Ah, marketing !
