MV Agusta F4 RC: second batch in 2017 !

The MV Agusta F4 RC launched last year is the most powerful Superbike on the market … and for good reason: it is from this (top) model that the official racing machine entered by the Italian manufacturer is derived. in WorldSBK in the hands of Leon Camier.

To line up in his racing F4 RC – Leon Camier’s n ° 2 machine, who has just signed for an additional season – MV Agusta is forced by the regulations to market a minimum of almost as powerful motorcycles. At the same time, he must respect the tariff ceiling set at 40,000 euros … ?!

Like last year, 250 copies of the F4 RC homologated for the road – n ° 37 pictured below, in reference to the number of world titles won by the brand – will therefore soon be leaving the small factory in Varese, accompanied by precious wooden boxes.

In these luxurious cases, the happy and fortunate customers will find the "racing" kit which mainly includes the single SC-Project titanium exhaust developed for the specific ECU case. Once installed, this duo still allows the 4-cylinder "Corsa Corta" embellished with magnesium parts to reach 212 hp (+7 hp compared to the standard version), for a dry weight of 175 kg (-6 kg ).

Thermal protection in carbon fiber, a quick-opening tank cap, the covers for the mirrors, a seat cowl and a cover are also part of the equipment for this "Reparto Corse" motorcycle (racing department). It will be able to flare up during track days … at least in the pits !

Unlike those which differ from the standard F3s only by their beautiful – but beast – WSBK livery, the F4 RCs also receive prestigious Ohlins suspensions – models NIX 30 and TTX 36 for informed amateurs -, as well as a pair of 30mm 4-piston Brembo "GP" calipers. When will MotoGP ?
