New in 2015 Intermot Cologne: the Suzuki Bandit 1250SA gets a (small) makeover !
While the long-awaited GSX-S1000 sports roadster based on GSX-R1000 is a real eye-catcher at the Suzuki stand in Cologne, several other welcome novelties are worth a look. Like the stainless Bandit 1250SA, slightly relifted for 2015.
While the long-awaited GSX-S1000 sports roadster based on GSX-R1000 is a real eye-catcher at the Suzuki stand in Cologne, several other welcome novelties are worth a look. Like stainless, slightly relifted for 2015.
The large road roadster of Hamamatsu’s coat of arms features a more incisive front face, whose angular lines evoke the brand’s sports motorcycles (see photo montage below).
Dummy air intakes appear under the triangular headlight, while the sides of the semi-fairing descend lower and are now perforated.
The windshield has also been redesigned to improve the aerodynamics and protection of this excellent road bike, equipped with a height-adjustable saddle (from 805 to 825 mm) and ABS as standard..
Technically, the Bandit GSX-F 1250SA remains faithful to the smooth water-cooled 1255cc in-line 4-cylinder engine, developing 98 hp and 11 mKg of torque. An engine appreciated for its availability, reliability and generous torque.

Too bad on the other hand that the rest of the bike does not know any evolution. If the proven double steel cradle frame, the telescopic fork and the mono-shock absorber fulfill their function correctly in touring use, more modern components would enhance its versatility and help to lower its heavy weight, the only real "big" defect of this Suzuki attractive even in its price: 8,799 euros for the current 2014 vintage.
The price of this "novelty" 2015 is not yet known at present – it will not be revealed until the eve of its marketing "in order to be in the best position" compared to the competition, Suzuki confides to us, but it is already acquired that it will be available in France in February / March 2015 in red, black and white.
