A few days before the Intermot Cologne 2010 show, Triumph has leaked some information on its revamped Speed Triple (read) and its Tiger 800 and 800 XC 2011 models. As for the Triumph trails (read), new photos and information are available. available on the .

The eye of the tiger

In the first place, these Tiger 2011 would officially be called Tiger 800 and Tiger 800 XC: a double name suggesting the launch of a more adventurous version (the XC), like the BMW R 1200 GS and its sister Adventure.

The displacement of the "three-legged" would therefore be stopped at 800 cc: more torque than the small "675" and less intimidating than the big "1050", this new engine should be particularly pleasant and largely sufficient, provided that the weight of these Tiger 2011 remains contained.

However, for lovers of large torque, Triumph also worked on a 1200 cc version in order to compete head-on with the trail-GT from BMW, Yamaha and Ducati (read in particular our).

Like the Speed Triple 2011, these Tiger 800 and 800 XC adopt angular optics. They feature a high enveloping screen, passenger handles, spoked wheels, a two-stage saddle and imposing (and optional?) Side cases.

On the technical side, apart from the tubular frame, the swingarm with two branches, the final transmission by chain and the clutch by cable, Triumph jealously keeps its secrets until next week: stay connected !
