Guintoli interview: not really surprised by the MotoGP titles of Mir and the Suzuki team

Following the 2020 coronations of Joan Mir and his Suzuki Ecstar team in MotoGP, Site contacted Sylvain Guintoli, GSX-RR test rider, to talk about the past season: its ups (easy), its downs (the injury de Marquez), its side effects (Iannone and Lorenzo), its consequences (satellite team and Suzuki news)… Interview !

Seven months ago on the occasion of the first anti-Covid-19 confinement, the Journal moto du Net had a long interview with Sylvain Guintoli. Today, he admits, his videos have momentarily taken a back seat: "Guinters" may have driven much less for the Suzuki development team this short and intense 2020 season compared to previous years, the more "British". French pilots are nonetheless "busy". Busy.

Sylvain has had a lot to do lately, between the thunderous and victorious end of the season for his team and the young but mature Joan Mir, his freelance commentator for Canal +, the meticulous preparation of his personal GSX-R1000R, his contacts with the future team Yoshimura-SERT (shhh) … Not to mention the management of his five "kids" during this second confinement !

Fortunately, Sylvain appreciates MNC and its readers. He therefore gave us a full half hour of his precious schedule to analyze the coronations of pilot and team of his Hamamatsu comrades, the success of "his" GSX-RR and its similarities with the M1, the only other 4-in- MotoGP line which also exploits the Michelin cars very well…
