After replacing the rear shock absorber on the R1M in April, Yamaha is announcing today the recall of the new YZF-R1 and YZF-R1M 2015 (read our MNC test of March 5, 2015: with or without M, we like it! ) to avoid a "risk of leakage from an oil hose".

The motorcycles concerned are the YZF-R1 model 2015 (2CR2) whose serial numbers are between RN322 00000301 and RN322 0000354 and the YZF-R1M model 2015 (2KS2) whose serial numbers are between RN327 00000301 and RN327 0000305, in total "55 machines for the French market", indicates Yamaha Motor France.

"The O-ring of the oil hose may have been damaged during assembly and there may then be a risk of engine oil leaking", specifies the manufacturer who has warned customers of the motorcycles concerned by registered mail, so that ‘they make an appointment "as soon as possible with their own in order to have this intervention carried out free of charge".
