Kawasaki recalls ER-6, Versys 650 and Ninja 250R

Kawasaki Motors Europe is currently carrying out a recall campaign concerning the ER-6n, ER6-f, Versys 650 and Ninja 250R vintages 2012. This return to the workshop is linked to a possible failure of the circlip used to lock the passenger footrest…

"On the units concerned (see the list below, Editor’s note), the circlip locking the passenger footrest axle may be weakened due to a manufacturing problem," explains Akahsi’s crest. "This can lead to the loss of the circlip allowing the axle to come out of its housing and the footrest to fall out during use".

All affected owners will receive a letter inviting them to go to the nearest to carry out the repair..

Serial numbers of the 2012 ER-6, Versys 650 and Ninja 250R affected:
