Yamaha Motor France is launching a vast recall campaign due to a concern with brake contactors on the Tmax 530 and 560 as well as on several motorcycles: FJR1300, Super Tenere 1200, MT10 and Tracer 900 GT. The unclassifiable Niken three-wheeler is also affected. Explanations. 

This unforeseen return to the workshop affects a total of "30,723 machines for the French market", accounts Yamaha which has already notified the owners of the two and three-wheelers concerned by registered mail..

The nature of the problem is with the brake switch on which "silicon oxide may form (…) and therefore internal resistance may increase. In extreme cases, cruise control systems may fail to function. ‘switch on or off and / or the brake light could remain on ".

Note that this concern only concerns the front brake switch on the motorcycles listed below, but that it extends to the front and rear components on the Tmax 530 and Tmax 560. In both cases, Yamaha Motor France will replace it. free of faulty contactor (s).
